Red Snapper Ceviche


  • 1 pound red snapper fillets, diced
  • 1/2 cup lime juice
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup diced red onion
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and diced
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 avocado, diced
  • Salt and pepper


  1. In a large bowl, combine the diced red snapper, lime juice, and orange juice. Toss to coat the fish in the citrus juices.
  2. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until the fish is opaque and "cooked" by the acidity of the citrus juices.
  3. Add the diced red onion, jalapeno pepper, and cilantro to the bowl and toss to combine.
  4. Season the ceviche with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Serve the red snapper ceviche with diced avocado on top and tortilla chips on the side for dipping.
